Two Fishermans Nightmare Ends

Just last week two men in their mid 50's left the coast of the Bahamas for a fishing trip.  A few hours into their expedition the fishers boat flipped over and was floating about six inches under the surface of the water.  After sitting out there for 8 days with no water or food they were both severely dehydrated and both had hypothermia.  Luckily during the day a super tanker cargo ship spotted them and contacted coast guard for help.  A coast guard helicopter found them 30 miles off the coast of Boca Raton and West Palm Beach at about 5:00 pm on Saturday.  Both men were lifted to safety.  The coast guard swimmer Kyle Stallings that rescued them said the two men were full of energy and very excited when they saw they were being rescued.  The Bahamians skin was water-logged from sitting in salt water for 8 days straight.  He said if you would pinch their skin it would stay like that for 6 seconds.  The men were returned to their homes in the Bahamas and had a little further medical care but nothing too serious.
